The Somers Point Zoning Board consists of seven regular members and two alternates. Professionals to the Board include an attorney, a consulting engineer, and a zoning officer.

The Zoning Board of Adjustment has the authorization to interpret and construe the developmental regulations of the City of Somers Point. They may grant a variance to allow a structure or use in a district where such a use or structure is not permitted. The Zoning Board of Adjustment has the power to grant preliminary and final site plan approval whenever the Board is reviewing an application or approval of a use variance.

The Zoning Board generally meets every 2nd Monday of each month in City Hall starting at 7:00pm.
